Years of Experience


/ My JOURNEY
From the dotcom era to BBC broadcast productions.
I’ve been drawing and telling stories for as long as I can remember. Long before agencies and clients, I was filling sketchbooks and making flipbook animations.
That instinct never left.
After studying Graphic Design and Illustration, I built a 25-year career in digital design, branding and video production — running my own agency and working with clients such as Iron Mountain, Securicor, The British Medical Journal and American Express.
But animation was always the goal.
During the pandemic, when commercial work paused overnight, I made a decision: stop circling it — and commit.
I joined the indie animated series The Vale as an animator. What began as a grassroots YouTube project grew into a cinema premiere packed with fans — and was later picked up by the BBC.
The follow-up series, The Golden Cobra (2024), went on to win two BAFTAs. I’m currently working on Season Two.
Today, my focus is firmly on 2D animation — from character animation and rigging to story-driven visual development. I bring three decades of creative experience into every frame: discipline, storytelling instinct, and production reliability.

Animation was always the destination — even if my path took a few turns getting there.
I’ve spent over 25 years working as a digital creative, building brands, designing platforms, producing video, and running my own agency. That experience taught me how to manage projects, hit deadlines, and think strategically.
But storytelling through drawing and motion has always been the core.
Today, my focus is firmly on 2D animation — developing characters, building visual worlds, and contributing to production-level series work. My background in design and technology strengthens my animation workflow, giving me a deep understanding of pipelines, asset organisation, and collaborative production.
I’m driven by the same instinct that started in childhood sketchbooks — to tell stories that connect with people.

Extensive Experience and Proficieny In

TOONBOOM
I have extensive commercial experience using ToonBoom Harmony for animation and creating rigs for cut-out characters.

MOHO
I have extensive commercial experience using Moho for both animation and rigging complex characters

Adobe
Expert in Adobe Creative Suite products. Over 30 years of commercial production experience.

ANIMATION
Production 2D experience working on BBC double Bafta winning show. Also has commercial 3D animation experience.

RIGGING
Able to build production ready rigs for simple and complex characters in both ToonBoom and Moho.

BACKGROUND ART
A trained and experienced Illustrator with backgrounds being used in BBC production “The Golden Cobra”.
