I recently undertook 2 courses with Cloth Cat Animation at their Cloth Cat Academy in Cardiff. Wishing to hone and refine my skills in both Toonboom rigging and general Moho use, I was thrilled to be able to attend two, week long, in-person, training courses with two industry professionals, Sean Francis and Dani Abram, both well known on YouTube as excellent educators.
i must say I thoroughly enjoyed the courses, and got to meet some great people. Working most of my time as a freelancer means that I don’t always get to benefit from being in house with other animators, so it was great to share and learn from other people, and to be able to ask questions in person.
Anyone who wanting to learn new or refine existing skills should definitely get in touch with Clothcat Academy, it’s in a working animation studio environment and the Cloth Cat staff and directors are usually around and are willing to talk with you and take interest in what you are learning. Based in the centre of Cardiff, it’s also a great place to spend a few days and is conveniently located, so you can step off the train, and be in the studio wishing a few minutes.
Thanks again Cloth Cat, the courses were invaluable and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with you!
